ABOUT
Carmelo Rafalà, a child of Sicilian immigrants, grew up in New England. He completed his MA in Comparative English Literature at the University of South Africa, as well as his MSC in Student Advice and Guidance at Central Connecticut State University. He earned his teaching qualification from the University of Sussex.

As an editor he has worked with many writers in the field of speculative fiction whose books have gone on to be nominated for several awards. As a writer he has sold short stories to several anthologies. His stories have been singled out by such outlets as The L.A. Review of Books, SF Revu, and BlackNerdProblems.com. He is a Science Fiction and Fantasy South Africa (SFFSA) Nova winner for 2024 for his story, "The Stars Must Wait".
His debut novella, The Madness of Pursuit, was released by Guardbridge Books.

He currently lives on the south coast of England.
